[email protected] (661) 257-5255 STEVENSON RANCH – Guests at a Stevenson Ranch hotel were evacuated this afternoon because a man is holed up in his hotel room with a gun. Evacuees said deputies came shortly before 4 p.m. to their third-floor rooms at the Comfort Suites on Pico Canyon Road and guided them to safety. “The children were frightened when they saw the policemen with guns and were told to get back in their rooms,” said Sandy Cohen, 66, of Tamarack, Fla., in town with 25 family members for a Saturday Bar Mitzvah. Meanwhile, the Highway Patrol has closed The Old Road and Pico Canyon Road near the hotel. last_img
